Touchet posts 2-2 record in Coyote Invitational


BURBANK -- Touchet finished with a 2-2 record in girls volleyball action here at the Coyote Invitational Saturday.

Zoe Weaver's seven kills and Carley Frazier's 12 assists led the Indians to an opening round win over Sunnyside Christian. The Indians posted 25-22 and 25-17 wins to take the match.

Mabton defeated the Indians in three games, 26-24, 19-25, and 15-8 in Touchet's second match. Frazier put up 13 assists with Weaver hitting six kills and ReAna Butler adding four kills. The Indians served at 94 percent in the losing effort.

The Indians bounced back to pull out a 15-8 game three win over DeSales in the third match of the day. The Irish took the first game, before the Indians bounced back to win 25-17 and force the third game. Alex Goforth, Butler, and Weaver led the offense with four kills each. Hillary Intinarelli led the Indian defenders with three digs.

Royal closed out Touchet's tourney run as Royal took the match in two straight. Royal posted 25-11 and 25-20 wins to claim the match.

Weaver's three kills and Frazier's four assists led the Indians.

Touchet plays LaCrosse-Washtucna Tuesday.
