COLLEGE PLACE - Dr. Gary Fraser, director and principal investigator of the Adventist Health Study 2, will present the latest findings from the ongoing National Adventist Health Study 2 on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium at Walla Walla University.
Fraser is a professor of medicine at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and of epidemiology and statistics at the university's School of Public Health. He also works half-time as a cardiologist and has taught at Loma Linda since 1979.
His book, "Diet, Life Expectancy, and Chronic Disease," demonstrates his interest in how lifestyle ¬?-- particularly diet -- may prevent chronic illness such as heart disease and cancer, and offers an in-depth look at the results of the first National Adventist Health Study.
