PENDLETON - Mac-Hi's Allison Varady was the lone Pioneer to travel to the Pendleton Girls Tournament Friday, shooting a 108 in her first tournament of the year to finish in the top 10.
"She hit the ball really well," Mac-Hi coach Elizabeth Ellis said, "but couldn't make the putts drop. This will be our focus for the next week or two, and hopefully drop her score by 10 or more strokes."
The Dalles' Nadia Telles medaled at the event with a round of 81.
Hermiston won the team score at 408, followed by The Dalles' 438, La Grande 450, Baker 456 and Pendleton 484.
