Four Walla Walla men arrested in La Grande on drug charges

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Four Walla Walla men were arrested in La Grande, Ore., on Thursday on suspicion of possessing several pounds of marijuana, worth about $10,000, authorities said.

The men are: Edwin F. Sebastian, 24; Rodolfo D. Vasquez, 23; Abel J. Trejo, 23; and Juan M. Alejandre, 23. They were each booked into the Union County Jail on suspicion of unlawful delivery and possession of marijuana.

The arrests were carried out by the Baker County Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Union/Wallow County Drug Task Force, and the Blue Mountain Narcotics Enforcement Team, or BENT, following a two-month investigation. About four pounds of marijuana was seized following the arrests, according to a news release.

The narcotics teams worked with local agencies, including the La Grande Police Department, Union County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police. Each team is also made up of officers from various law enforcement agencies, with BENT represented by members of the Milton-Freewater Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriff's Office, Pendleton Police, Umatilla Tribal Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
