The Walla Walla Bread Company has expanded its hours and service.
The downtown Walla Walla business, which specializes in artisan breads and fresh-made treats, has opened a dining room. Owners Michael and Rachel Kline have also added sandwiches and soup to the mix at 225 E. Main St.
Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. For more details, call 522-8422.
Ticket-holders at Feast Walla Walla may have noticed something missing from the menu at the event last Saturday.
Walla Walla House of Prime was to have made its debut at Feast, but operators withdrew the previous day.
The restaurant is a new steakhouse expected to open downtown. The owners -- including Kurt Fisher, an owner in Seattle-based Gibraltar Investment Property Solutions, which owns downtown Walla Walla property -- reportedly had hoped to use Feast as a launching pad to announce an opening for the business.
However, the project reportedly hit a road bump and will open later than originally hoped. Operators decided to wait on their announcement.
Those who waited until the last minute to file their income taxes don't have to worry as much about the clock at Liberty Tax Service.
The office at 688 E. Rose St. has extended its hours, said owner Sharon Dodgin.
The operation opens daily at 7 a.m. and will continue to run each night until the last client is done (after 9 p.m.). On Wednesday, Liberty Tax will open at 7 a.m. and operate until midnight. For more information, call 526-5081.
The Washington State Tourism Office will be in town Tuesday to share its new ExperienceWA.com Web site with the regional tourism industry.
Officials from the state organization will lead a two-hour meeting on the site at the Walla Walla Regional Airport. Attendees will learn how to submit content and events for the new site, as well as functionality and navigation.
