TOUCHET - Nicole Brown pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight in game one of a doubleheader here Saturday for an 8-0 win over St. John-Endicott.
The Indians used a powerful hitting onslaught, with 13 runs on 12 hits, to win game two 13-4.
"Nicole is one of three pitchers that we have," Touchet coach Gary Dorman said. "She has been pitching pretty well now. The good thing about having three pitchers is that at least one of them is probably going to be pitching well."
Cheyenne Kessler caught for the Indians. She had five total hits on the day.
"Everybody up and down the lineup is taking extra cuts in the cage and it is paying off well for everyone," Dorman said.
The Indians had 20 hits and 21 runs in the doubleheader.
Touchet is 5-1 in 1B play. The Indians are 11-1 overall.
Touchet plays a single game at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Dayton.
