"Into the Woods" a musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, opens April 30, at Little Theatre of Walla Walla, 1130 E. Sumach St. Tickets are $13 adults, $10 children under 13. Performances are 8 p.m. May 1, 7-9, 14-16 and 21-22. There will be 2 p.m. matinees May 9 and 16.
The musical is directed by Becky and Brian Hatley, with music direction by Glenn and Meredith Mitchell.
"Into the Woods" weaves together fairy tales "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Cinderella," "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Rapunzel" to tell an original story of a childless baker and his wife trying to find their happily ever-after.
Unfortunately, happily ever-after seldom comes true, and act two of this musical tells the story of what happens when happily ever-after may be the biggest fairy tale of all for some.
Tickets at the door are $13 for adults and $10 for children under 13. Season ticket holders can purchase tickets at the box office starting on Monday. Non-season ticket holders can purchase tickets beginning Tuesday. For more information or reservations, call 529-3683.
