LA CROSSE - Touchet dominated a young Lacrosse-Washtucna from the get-go here Saturday in Class 1B district baseball action.
The Indians pounded out 19 hits to blank the TigerCats, 27-0, behind Tuff Goble's one-hit pitching in the five-inning opener.
Touchet came back with a 16-hit attack to capture the nightcap, 24-4.
"They are really young," Indians' coach Wayne Dickey said. "They haven't had baseball for three years and are trying to get it re-started.
"There were a lot of walks," Dickey continued. "We were able to capitalize and score a lot of runs."
Jake Hodnefield, Jose Martinez and Goble had three hits each to lead the 19-hit first-game attack. Eric Hines, Rolando Flores and Travis Fowler each chipped in two hits, with Hines driving in a team-leading four runs.
A seven-run Touchet third put the nightcap away, as the Indians went on to score in each inning to post the 24-4 nightcap win.
Joey Weber led the way with three hits. Cori Ochoa, Marshall Byerley, Kelsey Cardwell, Nate Ortez and Goble each had two hits. Goble plated six Indians with his two hits.
The Indians remain unbeaten, improving to 16-0.
Touchet travels to Prescott for a single non-league game at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
