RICHLAND - Dayton swept Liberty Christian in a softball doubleheader here Monday.
The Bulldogs won the first game 10-1 and the second 13-7 in Class 2B Southeast action.
It was an improvement on the field, said assistant coach Des Jones.
"Errors have really held us back recently, as well as not hitting the ball," she said. "But for the most part, we played pretty clean and our bats finally came alive in the second game. Overall it was a successful day."
Dayton doubled its hits in game two, from six to 12. It also picked up three errors in game two, an increase of two over game one.
Jessica Tate had four RBIs in game one and Mieke Masselink had three in game two.
Kayla Turner pitched the first game, allowing one walk and striking out six. Sam Harting struck out 11 girls in game two.
Dayton's record moves to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in league
Dayton hosts Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia at 11 a.m. Saturday.
