Leona "Len" Schoepflin
December 13, 1916 - August 5, 2010

Leona "Len" Schoepflin, 93, went to sleep in Jesus surrounded by her daughters on August 5, 2010, at Regency at the Park, 420 SE Myra Road, College Place, Washington. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mountain View- Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, Washington 99362.

One of seventeen children, Len was born December 13, 1916, in Goodrich, North Dakota, to John and Lydia Miller Laschkewitsch. She graduated from Bismarck (North Dakota) High School. On September 3, 1938, she and Delmar Schoepflin married in Goodrich. A homemaker, she was an excellent cook; her specialties were Kuchen, potato salad and cinnamon rolls. She was extremely family oriented. She loved children. She was loved and cherished by many close friends throughout the years. She wrote poems for many occasions.

She was a long-time member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving in numerous capacities - church organist, children's division leader, M.V. leader - just to name a few. She moved to this area in 2000 from Grandview, Washington.
Len is survived by her daughters: Betty Price of College Place, Lynnette Malott of Olympia, Washington and Lyndel Strickland of Walla Walla; her son, Gary Schoepflin of Silverdale, Washington; her sister: Amy Aaby of College Place; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband September 5, 1994; six sisters and nine brothers.
