LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Story of generous child touching

I would like to comment on your front page story that Jennifer Jorgenson so superbly covered concerning little Jack Wanichek's project to help ill children. I was so touched to read how this child and his sister are reaching out to others in their times of need.

This speaks so highly of their parents and the family values they are instilling in their children.

This story is an example of what we as parents and grandparents need to be doing. There is so much emphasis on the "ME" in our society. I doubt that Jack and Allison ever thought for a minute how they could instead use their hard-earned money on themselves for the latest electronic toy or whatever.

This type of story gives us hope for the next generation made up of not only compassionate people, but caring world leaders.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wanicheck! It appears they are doing a commendable job of parenting. They are truly an example to emulate.
