PRESCOTT -- Three people were injured Saturday night, one critically, in a collision west of Prescott.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened at 10:30 p.m. on State Route 124 and Iberson Road two miles west of the city.
Police said a westbound car driven by Steven Jenks, 59, of Covington, Wash., swerved to avoid debris in the road and went out of control, striking an eastbound Jeep Cherokee driven by Charles A. Plank, 51, of Peck, Idaho.
A passenger in Jenks' car, Laurie Jenks, 58, was airlifted to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, where she was reported in critical today. Steven Jenks was taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center where he was reported in serious condition today.
Plank was also taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center and later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was reported in satisfactory condition today.
