Onie was born September 12, 1933, in Ovid, Colorado to Cecil Cameron and Thelma Louise Goodway Morehouse. The youngest of six children: Elmer, Dale, Merle and Tom Morehouse and Cecilia Smith, she attended schools and graduated from Pasco High School in 1952. In July, 1952, she and Donald Ray Hamilton married. They had three children: Trena Ann Norris (Roy Norris) of Umatilla, Donita Rae Taruscio (Nick Joe Taruscio) of Walla Walla and Doyle Gene Hamilton (Trudy Wallace) of Pasco. She owned the Self Service Laundry in Pasco for 12 years. They divorced and she moved to Walla Walla in 1968. On December 24, 1968, she and Jim Frost were married, adding three daughters to the family: Brenda Brown (Larry Brown), Cathy Harmon and Christy Schoessler (Rick) all of Walla Walla.
They moved to Spokane in 1981 where she worked with her husband in his hardware sales business and doing demonstrations of housewares as well as working in a hardware store. Following the death of her husband in 1992, she moved back to Walla Walla to be near her family. Her family helped her finish and move into her current home of 18 years, where she baby sat all of her great-grandchildren, spoiling many a child because you can't spank Grandma!
She loved to travel, ride motorcycles, follow her grandchildren to rodeos, watch the Mariners and Seahawks and keep in touch with her close friends and relatives.
