New Wa-Hi football coach Mike Gobel gives directions to this year's Blue Devil squad during the afternoon session of the team's first two-a-day practices Wednesday.
Gobel takes over the helm at Wa-Hi after Marc Yonts resigned after the 2009 season.
The Blue Devils are coming off a season in which they finished 5-2 in the Big Nine, and 6-4 overall.
High school football practices across Washington began Wednesday, with two-a-days in Oregon beginning Monday. The Blue Devils open their season at Hermiston on Sept. 3.
