Milton-Freewater Municipal tournaments raise money for local programs


MILTON-FREEWATER - Two golf tournaments at Milton-Freewater Municipal Golf Course benefited a couple of programs Friday and Saturday.

The Pheasants Forever 4-Person Scramble on Friday netted more than $800 for that group, and the Lee Parr Memorial/Tadpole 4-Person Scramble on Saturday brought in more than $1,600 for the Mac-Hi golf program.

Top team at the 12-team Pheasants Forever tournament was Mark Grigg, Jason Heffner, Dean Heffner and Daryl Cox with a gross of 51.

Low gross team at the 16-team Mac-Hi benefit on Saturday was Beau Chester, Travis Chester, Pete Leighty and Mike Garton with a 47.
