FINLEY - Victor Contreras and Jacob Bettencourt combined for 28 points here Tuesday night to lead River View to a 45-40 non-league prep basketball victory over visiting Dayton.
Contreras tallied 15 points and Bettencourt followed with 13 for the Panthers, who hiked their season record to 2-1.
For the Bulldogs, who dropped to 1-1, Garrett Turner led the way with 14 points.
Dayton is back in action tonight when it entertains Tekoa-Oakesdale in a non-league game.
