ATHENA -- Fireside tea time, book group and Wii and Xbox gaming for youths are among the holiday season activities lined up at the Athena Public Library.
Fireside tea time, a chance to relax and enjoy a cup of hot tea in front of the fire, is offered Dec. 13 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Bring your needlework, or enjoy a card game, dominoes or a jigsaw puzzle.
Students in grades 4-12 should check with the library for the winter break Wii and Xbox gaming schedule.
The Athena book group meets at the library Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss "The Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet." Margaret Hansell will lead the discussion.
Copies of the book are available at the library.
Regular library hours are scheduled through the holidays. The library is open Monday, 1-7 p.m.; Tuesday, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Wednesday, noon-5 p.m.; and Thursday, 7:30-10:30 a.m. and 1-5 p.m. The library will be closed Dec. 27.
