Curves has had the opportunity to strengthen millions of women around the globe for the last 15 years.
The resistance-based workout, combined with aerobics, has been the cornerstone of the Curves Circuit. Each member is monitored and encouraged to be accountable for their successes by their circuit coaches and fellow Curves members.
As the exercise world evolves, Curves has computerized its equipment, which helps members monitor their progress and increase the intensity of their workouts.
Now once again Curves is ahaking things up by adding Zumba in the Curves Circuit.
According to Zumba.com, the program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves. The routines feature interval training sessions, in which fast and slow rhythms and resistance are combined to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat.
Each member will work out on the machines for the strength training, but now we are adding a bit of party to the workout. The classes will be led by a certified Zin Zumba instructor who will enhance the workout and kick it in to high gear. Classes are offered several times each week.
The local Walla Walla Curves launched the new program at an open house last week; to learn more, call Walla Walla Curves at 509-522-7888 or come the club at 2200 Melrose St. No. 3.
