UMATILLA - Daniel Lomelond scored 25 points as Walla Walla Valley Academy posted a 66-28 win over Helix here Friday in non-conference boys basketball action here at the Columbia River Clash tourney.

Helix trailed only 25-20 at the half, but the Knights went on a 22-4 third-quarter run to put this one away.

"We hung in there in the first half," Grizzlies coach Brooke Garton said. "We didn't work very hard to open the third quarter. They (WWVA) did a good job of moving the ball and shooting. They capitalized on our lack of hard work on defense. On offense, we did not play as a team."

The Knights closed this one out with a 19-4 fourth-quarter advantage to take the win.

Alex Wagner joined Lomelond in double digits for WWVA with 11 points.

The Grizzlies were led by Riley Sederburg, who fired home 14 of the Grizzlies 28.

Zach Sundin added six for the Grizzlies and Sederburg grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Helix concluded tourney play here Saturday.
