UMATILLA - Mac-Hi's boys basketball team handed Helix its sixth straight defeat to close out both teams' time at the Umatilla Tournament Saturday, dropping the Grizzlies 68-42 behind a solid inside and outside preformance from senior Ricky Angel.

Angel notched 22 points to lead Mac-Hi, which also used its defensive tenacity to take control in the second quarter before limiting Helix to just 18 points in the second half.

"We played well in the first quarter," said Helix head coach Brooke Garton. "We got impatient in the second quarter and that's when they started to pull away. A lot of the teams in the tournament are from bigger schools, which makes it tough for us."

Helix did get a strong night from Riley Sederburg, who poured in a game high 23 points, but it was not enough to score the Grizllies their first win on the season.
