PREP WRESTLING Pomeroy wrestling finishes second at Potlatch, Idaho Invitational


POTLATCH, Idaho - The Pomeroy Pirates boys wrestling team placed second at the Potlatch, Idaho Invitational tournament.

The Pirates could have won the tournament but several wrestlers missed the bus and didn't participate at all.

The eleven team tournament was won by Prairie, Idaho by just 11 points over the Pirates.

This tournament was the first matches for Pomeroy and they had three second places and three champions to go with a fourth place.

The Pirates will wrestle again Thursday at Heppner, Ore.

171 - Wyatt Jenkins, second place: pinned Kyle Millis, Colfax, first; pinned Justin King, Colfax, second; pinned Paul Reynolds, Lake City, first; pinned by Charles Clark, McCall, first.
