Kathryn Willabelle Biagi, 81, of Walla Walla passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010.
Kathryn was born on Jan. 20, 1929 in Grandview, Wash., to William and Eva (Hogan) Mahoney. She attended school in Grandview and later in Walla Walla, graduating from St. Patrick's High School in 1947.
Kathryn married Wilburt Biagi in May of 1948. She worked at Assumption School, American Services, Western Paper and at the Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynne and her husband Bob Wagstaff of Idaho, and Sharon and her husband Vern Redifer of Yakima; one son, Dan and his wife Alba Biagi of Walla Walla; nine grandchildren, Chris and his wife Teri, Shauna and her husband Brandon, Rachel, Zach, Stephanie, Jessica, Nicole, Keanu, and Katerina; and two great-grandchildren, Zach and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, sister and both parents.
Viewing will be on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at
10 a.m. at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Chapel with Father Tim Hays officiating. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband. The family would like to thank Anna Gonzales and daughters (Anna's Adult Family Home) for the excellent care they provided for Kathryn during the past four years.
