$n$ Wolves can't get moving in loss

WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla University's women's basketball team never got its offense running against Great Falls Monday, struggling to put points on the board at home in a 65-39 loss.

Great Falls was paced by Kezia Ford's 13 points and 14 rebounds from Sigourney Thompson.

"This is finals week so that always makes it more difficult," said WWU head coach Bill Clancy. "We had some players play really well, and we hung with them until about five minutes until halftime, and then our lack of depth just caught up with us."

Great Falls took a 36-18 edge into intermission.

WWU (1-12) was led by 14 points from Heather McFadden, but a 48-30 rebounding deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

"McFadden had a really good game for us, but it came down to a numbers game, and we had to go zone, which is not what we wanted to do," Clancy said. "We're proud of our girls, but we didn't quite get to play our game."

Up next for WWU is a road trip to Spokane where the squad will take on Whitworth Thursday.
