WAITSBURG - Waitsburg-Prescott's girls basketball team utilized its superior size to pick up its second win in as many tries, dropping Dayton 68-33 Friday.

W-P pulled in 20 offensive rebounds to give the team a decided advantage in shot attempts, while the Bulldogs were limited to eight field goals.

"Our size gave us a lot of second chances," said W-P head coach Jerry Baker. "Dayton plays really hard, but when you can outrebound a team like that, then you have a good shot at winning."

A pair of double-doubles, one from Genesis Pearson (18 points, 13 rebounds) and one from Kristen Potter (10 and 10), didn't hurt W-P's cause either.

"Pearson and Potter were huge for us on the glass tonight," Baker said. "This was the kind of game we know Genesis is capable of having and what we really expect from her."

Dayton was led by eight points from sophomore guard Jessica Tate, but the Bulldogs could never find an inside force to match W-P.
