ASOTIN - Asotin came out on fire in Southeast 2B boys basketball action Saturday.

The Panthers hit 26 of their 48 shots from the field for 54 percent to defeat Dayton 67-51.

"They shot extremely well," said Bulldog coach Roy Ramirez. "We shot 20 percent. Our shooting is an ongoing deal and we've just got to shoot the ball better."

Ben Servaitius was the hottest Panther. Servaitius poured in 31 to lead Asotin.

The Panthers got off to an 18-11 lead after one and never let the Bulldogs back.

"We got tired in the third period after playing Waitsburg-Prescott in a tough game (a 36-34 Bulldog loss) last night," Ramirez said. "We couldn't get out and put a hand in their shooter's face."

Garett Turner produced most of the Dayton offense as Turner scored a team-leading 23. Jason Norris and Colton Bickelhaupt each chipped in eight points for the Bulldogs, who drop to 3-3 on the year.

The Bulldogs host an alumni game at 7:30 Dec. 27.
