PREP BASKETBALL — Boys: Liberty Christian 61, DeSales 60

RICHLAND - Liberty Christian's Bryan Corrigan hit two free-throws with four seconds remaining in overtime to beat the DeSales boys 61-60 in Southeast 2B boys basketball action.

After the free throws, the Irish were unable to get a shot off to try to take back the game.

"It was a good game," said DeSales coach Allyn Griffin. "The guys played very hard. But give credit to the other team, they are very talented and worked real hard too."

Griffin was pleased with his players.

"Sean Williams at point did a great job defensively," he said. "Nick Wales had an outstanding game and the effort and leadership of Spencer Cordeiro was remarkable."

Cordeiro was leading scorer for DeSales with 13 points. Vic Mata and Nick Wales added 12 each.

DeSales falls to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in league with the loss.
