Aug. 18, 1929 - Dec. 20, 2010
Anna Marie Courtright, 81, died Dec. 20, 2010, at Regency at the Park. She was born Aug. 18, 1929, in New Castle, Wyo., to William Henry and Genevieve Chambers Harper. She was the oldest of 12 children.
Anna worked as a school bus driver and playground supervisor for the Prescott School District. She often talked about her long trips to sports games and how she would listen to the kids on the bus describe their play-by-play action. She watched as the children on
the playground grew into adults. Her greatest job was taking care of people in their homes as a home-care provider. She had caring hands and a loving heart.
Anna loved crafts, gardening and singing. She would make weddings come alive with her beautiful handmade silk flowers. Her green thumb turned her flower gardens into spectacular rays of color. She loved teaching her talents to those around her.
Anna was preceded in death by her mom. She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Parson of Hermiston and Carol Forney-Clayton of Walla Walla; a son, William Paul Forney of Prescott; several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
There will be a private family interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
