Pomeroy Christian Youth Center to hold rock concert

POMEROY - The Pomeroy Christian Youth Center is having a Christian rock concert from 10 p.m.-1 a.m., New Year's Eve, in the Pomeroy High School Gymnasium, 1090 Pataha St. The band "Fantatics" will play. Parents from the Pomeroy Boy Scout Troop will provide hot dogs, chips, and soda by donation.

Christian Women's Connection luncheon is slated Jan. 12

DAYTON - Christian Women's Connection's luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Seneca Activity Center, catered by Dayton General Hospital. Cost is $9.

Bring your husband or a male friend.

Martin Venneberg, a former engineer at Boeing, will speak about problem solving in an engineer's world.

Chuck Reeves will sing and Catherine Schuck, O.D., Optometric Phsytian, will be featured.

Babysitting is available for the luncheon.

Christian Women's Connection's next prayer and planning meeting will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Lois Hemphill, 300 E. McCall St., in Dayton. Call 509-520-8838.

SonBridge Community Center to offer Beth Moore Bible study

COLLEGE PLACE - SonBridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12th St., will host "Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman" from noon to 1 p.m. each Wednesday, Jan. 12- March 16. This is a free DVD Bible study led by Beth Moore, a Christian speaker and author. Sherrice Croft and Julie Sanders Keymer will facilitate. To register, call 509-529-3100.

SonBridge Community Center has Crown Money Map Seminar

COLLEGE PLACE - SonBridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12th St. will offer a Crown Money Map Seminar by Crown Financial Ministries at 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Jan. 16. The fee is $25. Participants may register at www.crown.org. Call 509-529-3100 for details.
