Michael John Conner was born in Walla Walla on Jan. 18, 1946. He passed away on the night of Dec. 25, 2010, after spending a loving day with close family.
Mike was a kind, generous, wonderful man who cared most about his family. He was raised in Walla Walla by parents, Clancy and Helen Conner. He married his high school sweetheart in 1966, and they had
three children. He was a semi-pro baseball player with the Walla Walla Bears. The family moved to Kennewick in 1973. Mike operated the family-owned Tri-Cities Clancy's Transfer and Storage for 37 years. He enjoyed many things in life. His first love was for his family, especially time with his four granddaughters. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, pool and was a Tri-City Americans season ticket holder. He was an active member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Andrea; sister, Kathy Kaping of Walla Walla; three children, Carrie Conner of Portland, Pam Conner of San Diego and Craig Conner of Richland; and four grandchildren, Andrea, Shanna, Julia and Karina.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. with a vigil beginning at 7 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Parish of the Holy Spirit, 7409 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick.
