Name: Kyla Greiner

Business/job title: Country Store Consignment & Antiques / owner

Hometown: Walla Walla

What brought you to Walla Walla? "My parents were brainstorming about possibilities for the Country Store. I could take over the Country Store with a different twist. I like new adventures. I opened it May 1st and I've gotten lots of positive feedback."

Favorite memories: "I have a lot of good memories, memories with my family. One that stands out is when my brother and I went on our annual rafting trip on the Wenatchee River. He was flipped out of the boat, he's 6'4'' so he's a big guy. He was looking brave and scared at the same time." Another memory: "Every Friday night, while growing up, my parents would have their date night. My brother, Charlie, and I would have a sleepover at my Grannys house (my dads mom). We would watch TV and play cards all night. In the morning my Granny would always make us hot chocolate and cinnamon toast for breakfast before our parents picked us up. I don't know if it was the cinnamon toast or the time with Granny, but that is definitely one of my favorite memories."

Current favorite song/CD? "I listen to country music in the car. Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift, fun upbeat country."

Favorite movie: "I like a lot of movies, it's hard to pick one. I like comedies." Baby's Mama with Tina Fey or romantic "The Notebook"

Favorite food: "I love chicken Pud Thai, curry, any Italian."

Favorite book: She says she reads magazines more often than books.

Favorite hobby: "I like to paint, acrylics, on canvas. I'm not good at it. It's for relaxation. My new hobby is bunco." Of course, spending time with her dog, Chester, is high on her list of fun things.

Favorite place in the area: "I've been so busy I haven't really explored anywhere. I'm just having a good time with my friends and family."

Most recent local purchase? "Dog food for Chester. No, I think it was from one of my dealers upstairs. I bought furniture from my own store."

Dream vacation: Australia. "A few of my friends have been there. It sounds amazing."

Worst job: "Oh my gosh. I already know that one..I was an IT sales manager. I'm not technical at all. I had to work with all these technical terms and had to talk with programming managers at Microsoft."

If you had another career, what would it be? "I've always thought it would be fun to have a spa/resort out in the middle of nowhere. For a girls weekend of just being catered to."

If you could talk with anyone, from any time or place, who would it be and why: Grampa Charlie Greiner. She never had a chance to meet her grandparents and the family thinks he would have simply adored his grandkids.
