DAYTON - Dayton's boys basketball team advanced to the finals of its holiday tournament with a decisive 53-43 win over Lacrosse-Washtucna Wednesday.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead early, outscoring L-W 21-2 in the first quarter.

"We came out really strong defensively," said Dayton head coach Roy Ramirez. "The way we played on defense sparked our offense, and we were pushing the ball from the beginning of the game."

The tournament concludes tonight at 7 p.m. when Dayton takes on Kiona-Benton for the championship.
