Titans topple Warrior men

CLACKAMAS, Ore. - Tacoma picked up a 90-74 win over Walla Walla Community College in the Clackamas Holiday Invitational semifinals Wednesday night.

Tacoma is currently the third-ranked team in the NWAACC. The loss drops the Warriors to 7-3 on the season.

The Warriors trailed by 11 at the half, then the Titans opened up scoring for the 16-point win.

Walla Walla didn't have an answer for Tacoma's Brandon Magee, as leaders Jacob Smith and Aaron Corsi posted 17 each, enough combined to beat Magee's 32-point total.

The Warriors also had 24 turnovers to Tacoma's eight on the night. The Titans had 11 steals to WWCC's two.

The Warriors did win outside the paint, nailing 11 3s to Tacoma's four.

Walla Walla plays Peninsula in the third-place game at 1 p.m. today. Tacoma advances to the championship game with Clackamas at 3 p.m.
