Elvira Margaret McTimpeny
June 17, 1927 - December 16, 2010
Elvira McTimpeny, beloved wife of Mike, loving moth- er, grandmother, and best friend, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Walla Walla General Hospital, sur- rounded by her family.
She was born June 17, 1927, in Walla Walla, WA, she attended school in College Place, WA. And graduated from school of Cosmetology in Walla Walla shortly after. She owned and operated her own beau- ty salon in Walla Walla for nearly sixty years, where she ministered to friends and family, and shared her faith and love for Jesus. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and fishing, but
her passion was for her family to share her faith. She will be remembered for her immense love of life, her amazing ability to make everyday a joy, and her laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. She was taken far too soon, but lived her life to the fullest. She provided her family and friends with many wonderful memories that will remain treasures forever.
She is survived by her husband, Mike McTimpeny of Walla Walla, WA; four daughters, Judy Butler of Touchet, WA. Cindy Miner of Oregon City, OR. Kay Waite of Washougal, WA. and Karen Kelly of Walla Walla, WA; one son, John Dale Harding of Walla Walla, WA; two step- sons, Shawn McTimpeny of Camas, WA. and Howard McTimpeny of Tigard, OR; eighteen grandchildren, numer- ous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Thompson of Curlew, WA; and her brother, Duane Kinman of Sutherland, OR.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Ferrante of Tacoma, WA; her moth- er, Marie Kinman, and her father, Lewis Kinman; two step-children, Michael Patrick McTimpeny and Kari Michelle McTimpeny.
The family would like to express our grati- tude to Wayne Jorstad for his compassion in handling our loss.
Her family will be holding a private celebration of life.
