WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Native Plant Society is having its Second Wednesday event a 7 p.m. Feb. 10 in Whitman College Hall of Science Room 142.
Rebecca Currans of Rugged Country Nursery, and Nora Parkhurst, a landscaper, will show native plants and their uses in Walla Walla gardens.
Parkhurst will provide garden designs, including wetlands, mixing natives with traditionals, and creating a native sanctuary good for birds too.
The Currans grow their native plants mostly from seed and not from cuttings, which preserves genetic diversity in the plant population.
