ST. JOHN, Wash. - Zoe Weaver scored 13 points, on 7-of-8 from the free throw line, but Touchet was pummeled 74-42 by St. John-Endicott here Saturday night in Southeast B District play.

"Weaver scored well tonight and played well," Touchet coach Malissa McKeown said. "Pedroza scored about her average but many others didn't score much."

St. J-E won by 32 points over the Indians, but it was a better showing than their last matchup.

"They're a really good team, they have size and speed," McKeown said. "We lost to them by about 45 points last time.

"We were able to shut down their top scorer from last game, Kelly VanLitch, but it turned out that they had other offensive weapons."

Kelsey Simon shot the lights out with 30 points. Alli Winters played the role of supporting cast with 18 points.

The Indians were faced with foul trouble on the road with two players fouling out. Both Carley Frazier and Emily Huesby fouled out.

"Huesby's foul trouble really hurt us," McKeown said.

The record for Touchet is now 4-6 overall in league.

The Indians lay Wednesday in a loser-out, winner-to-district game against LaCrosse-Washtucna at home Wednesday night.
