He Knew No Strangers, so my life has been touched and blessed by so many since Ray Pierce went to his eternal home on December 10, 2009. Thank you for the cards, flowers, meals, honorariums to the Alzheimer's Association-Inland Northwest Chapter, prayer's and support. A Special thank you to my church family at New Life Assembly who have stood by me during this long good-bye; to Pastor Jim Hicks who traveled through adverse weather conditions to share at the celebration of Ray's life and to Dr. Robert Carmody, with nurse Mary Price who have provided support, patience and guidance as I struggled with the final stages of Ray's dementia. Words are hard to find that are adequate to thank my second family at Eagle Springs. Kim Wilkensen, along with Tina Downey provided purpose and dignity for Ray as he transitioned into his home there. The staff loved and supported him, Jen and her family took him to ball games, and he was provided special coffee breaks with "his girls" and enjoyed winning lighthouses at bingo. Better late than never, I learned of the Alzheimer's Association Inland Northwest Chapter and have gained immeasurable education that has lead to adding another "family" in my life. Thank you to my new friends, another gift Ray gave me through his illness. I know Ray lives on in many hearts and at many "coffee breaks". We miss you, love always, Debbi and family.
