COLLEGE PLACE - Walla Walla Valley Academy hit its stride in the second half on the way to rolling past Garfield-Palouse 69-53 in a Southeast B crossover game here Monday.
Marshall Failing and Caleb Sauerbier led the Knights with 29 and 17 points, respectively.
Failing scored from inside and outside, including three 3-pointers.
Gavin Burt scored 29 points for Gar-Pal.
The Knights trailed by five points, 28-23, after the first two quarters.
WWVA then took the lead with a 22-15 third quarter and extended it with a 24-10 fourth quarter.
"We played a great second half on offense," WWVA coach Keith Wells said. "Now we have two more divisional games (DeSales today and Waitsburg-Prescott on Thursday). We hope we can continue to play this well."
The Wolves game at DeSales tips off at 7:30 p.m.
