Don't forget to show some love to those four-legged friends this Valentine's Day.
Volunteers from the Blue Mountain Humane Society will offer red-boxed valentines for furry loved ones.
On Friday and Saturday volunteers will be next to Bright's Candies on Main Street selling gift boxes with dog bones or catnip for $5.
Blue Mountain Humane Society Executive Director Sara Archer said 100 percent of donations from the purchases will support the animal shelter. Donations are tax deductible.
The Humane Society operates at 7 E. George Road with a mission to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to companion animals.
The agency provides shelter, spay/neuter services, foster care, adoption and re-homing services.

A special valentines menu at Whoopemup Hollow Caf will be a precursor to the Mardi Gras Celebration early next week. The Waitsburg restaurant that specializes in Southern comfort food will reflect both love and sin in back-to-back celebrations.
Chef/co-owner Bryant Bader will create dinner specials throughout the weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day.
On Tuesday the restaurant, 120 E. Main St., will have a three-course Prix Fixe menu with an appetizer plate of crab hushpuppies and frog legs, among other things; the Whoopemup boeuf bourguignon; and coquilles St. Jacques or a stuffed quail gumbo for dinner.
The cost is $40 per person. Masks and beads will be part of the celebration. For reservations call 337-9000.

Walla Walla's Harvest Foods is also getting in on the Mardi Gras action next week.
After commemorating Valentine's Day by handing out a "free kiss" to guests, the Southgate grocery store will celebrate Fat Tuesday with free beads for all who visit the store, 905 S. Second Ave.
New Orleans-style samples created by the deli, bakery and meat department will be served 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
