Fiddle virtuoso to perform in Pendleton


PENDLETON -- Nashville fiddler Barbara Lamb will perform an all-ages solo concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Pendleton Center for the Arts, 214 N. Main St. Tickets are now on sale for the show.

Lamb has toured or performed with k.d. lang, western swing band Asleep At The Wheel, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Hornsby and swing fiddle king Johnny Gimble.

In her solo show, Lamb uses looping gear, hand percussion instruments, body parts as drums, an electric kalimba, wine glasses, her fiddle and her voice to create audio sculptures.

Lamb will work with students from the Pendleton Public Schools while she visits the Northwest in addition to her performance.
