Warriors to have youth softball camps Feb. 21


WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Community College's softball team is having camps for two age groups on Feb. 21.

The first session for ages 6-12 will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with ages 13-18 meeting from 2-6 p.m., at the team's hitting facility at the corner of Tausick Way and Isaacs Avenue.

Camps include instruction with one WWCC player per three campers. Each camper will be videotaped and evaluated. There will be two hours of fundamentals and hitting drills, and two hours of infield/outfield or pitching/catching instruction. There will also be competition drills for Warrior T-shirts. Staff includes WWCC head softball coach Mike Staudenmaier, assistants Jessie Buehler, Katie Buehler and Tressa Robins, and players and volunteers.

Bring a bat, gloves, cleats, tennis shoes, videotape, sweats and lunch/snack/drinks.

Each session is limited to 60 campers. Cost is by donation.
