Cheryl Ann Malcom was born in Caldwell, Idaho, on Nov 27, 1957. She was one of 11 children of Willard and Eleanor Potter. She grew up in Milton-Freewater, later moving to The Dalles, Ore., after meeting her husband, Monty Malcom. They had a son BJ . She loved to drive semi truck and did so for 25 years. She received a CNA certification in 2005. She was a caretaker until her death.

Our sissy was very dedicated to her family and friends. Her loved ones always came first. Cheryl made sure family get-togethers happened, never knowing a stranger, everyone was always welcome.

Her pride joy was her son BJ and grandson Justin. She always loved her grandma time!

Country music played a huge role in Cheryl's life. Singing, dancing and collecting old country music and beautiful quilts. Always a camera in hand, she cherished her photos. Never empty handed, she loved to give gifts to her family and friends. Cheryl touched the lives of many. She had huge heart of gold, always wanting to share it with you. Making you smile and laugh was the highlight of her day! She was a true diamond in the ruff.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her son BJ and hsi wife Maddy and grandson Justin. Brothers: Gene Potter, Jeff Potter, Nick Potter, John Riley, Michael Riley and Jimmy Riley. Sisters: Betty Harter, June Thompson, Linda Thomas, Vickie Oglesbee, Donna Geissel and Janie Lesko and all of her extended family.

At Cheryl's request, there will be no service, but a celebration of life, will be held Feb. 19 in Vancouver, Wash., at the American Legion at 7 p.m. There will be a gathering in Milton-Freewater at a later date.
