Joseph F. Angotti, 97, died Feb. 13, 2010 at a care home in Pendleton, OR. A memorial service will be held
Friday, Feb. 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home in Walla Walla, WA. Interment will follow
at Mountain View Cemetery.
Joe was born July 12, 1912 to Jim and Agnes Mario Vingenzo Angotti in Walla Walla. He was raised in Walla
Walla and attended area schools through the 11th grade when he went to work with his father on a truck farm.
He later worked firing retort with Mfg. Gas, and then had a 37-year career as a manager for Cascade Natural GasCo.
He was married to Doris Gillam and had three daughters. Then later divorced. He then married Hazel Moon Hayden and raised a stepson Larry Hayden. After her death he married Caroline Jackson Evans and helped
raise her daughter and son. He was a community volunteer with Roundup Association, a member of Rotary and the Elks. He also enjoyed raising and showing horses.
Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Caroline; daughters Janice Rushmore of Snohomish, WA; Joanne Graham of Marysville, WA; Deloris Hahn of Moscow, ID; Stepchildren, Judy Martin and Michael Evans of LaGrande, OR. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as many other
relatives. He is proceeded in death by his parents, all his six siblings, stepchildren Larry Hayden, Carol Vanderpool and Susie Menard.
