Award-winning poet to give reading at Whitman College


Poet Elizabeth Bradfield will read selections of her poetry at Whitman College 7 p.m. Feb. 25 in Kimball Theatre, Hunter Conservatory. As part of the school's Visiting Writers Reader Series, the event is free and open to the public.

Bradfield is the author of "Interpretive Work," which won the Audre Lorde Award. She was also a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award and recently released "Approaching Ice," a book of poems about Arctic and Antarctic exploration.

Bradfield has been published in The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry, Prairie Schooner, Field, The Believer, Orion and numerous other journals and anthologies.
