$n$ Wolves women down Northwest Indian College

COLLEGE PLACE - A double-digit edge in points off turnovers proved to be the difference in Walla Walla University's 60-46 win over Northwest Indian College in the Walla Walla University Hoop Classic here Friday.

The Wolves torched Northwest Indian for 25 points off turnovers, a 13-point advantage. The final margin of victory was 14.

The Wolves, who led by four at half, outscored their opponents 31-21 in the second half.

Three women scored in double figures for Walla Walla, led by Heather McFadden's 18, Dominique Pusher's 12 and Megan Moore's 10. Pusher also accounted for a double-double, tearing down a team-high 12 rebounds.

"We played well in spurts," WWU coach Bill Clancy said. "Heather McFadden and Dominique Pusher had pretty good games.

"It was a team effort, we rotated all eight players," he said. "It was a good win. It felt good."

Brydget Rogers did it all for Northwest Indian in the loss. Rogers led Northwest Indian in points (27), 3-pointers (4), rebounds (11), steals (5) and turnovers (6).

In other action at the Walla Walla University Classic Friday, Salish Kootenai College beat Corban College JV, 64-58.

The Wolves played Salish Kootenai Saturday night as the tournament concluded.
