PENDLETON - The Jesters Rugby Club, the Walla Walla Valley's under-19 boys rugby team, played its first ever game Saturday against Pendleton, falling to the Sasquatch, 43-14.

The Jesters' early enthusiasm as overshadowed by the experience of the home team as the Sasquatch jumped out to a very fast 24-0 lead.

After 20 minutes, though, the Jesters' athleticism came out and they began to play up to their potential. While they trailed 31-0 at the half, the Jesters outscored their foes in the second half for a final tally.

Scrumhalf Parker Eastgate scored the first ever try for the Jesters and flanker Jeremy Howell touched down another, enabling flyhalf Fernando Garcia to make both of his conversion kicks.

The Jesters next play March 13, when they host the Valley Joeys from Seattle on Whitman College's Ankeny Field.
