WALLA WALLA - Starting in March, a weekly green-waste pickup service will be offered to residents who purchase a green-waste bin for $15.71 per month.
Subscribers to the green-waste service will receive a 96-gallon container for lawn clippings, leaves, weeds, garden waste, tree trimmings and other types of compostable plant waste. Food waste is not accepted.
The green-waste collected from residents will be taken to Sudbury Landfill Regional Compost Facility.
Anyone interested in signing up for the service or wanting more information can contact the sanitation division office at 527-4479.
