DAYTON -- Lifelong Dayton resident Fred Clyde Blessinger, 90, died Dec. 30, 2009, at the Booker Rest Home, 1012 S. Third St., Dayton.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Dayton City Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice through Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home 111 S. Second St. Dayton, WA 99328.
Mr. Blessinger was born in Dayton on Nov. 10, 1919, to Fred L. and Blanche Craven Blessinger. He graduated from Dayton High School in 1938. He farmed the family ground on Johnson Hollow all of his working life.
He married Eilene Jones in 1952, she died in 1977. He then married Irene Crossler in 1978. She died in 1992.
He was a member of the Columbia County Wheat Growers, Amateur Trap Shooters Association and the NRA. He was an avid bird hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his son, Bill Blessinger of Dayton: one sister, Mary Lou Graham of Penn Grove, Calif.; and three grandsons.
