John and Pat Lucarelli of Walla Walla will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception in the summer.
The couple met while students at Walla Walla High School. They married Jan. 2, 1960, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Walla Walla. Pat’s maiden name is Herring.
John worked in the sales department of the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and retired after 32 years of employment. He also retired from farming in 2007.
He is a retired volunteer fireman for Fire District 4 and a life member of BPOE Elks 287. His hobbies include trapshooting, restoring antique motorcycles and farm equipment and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia
Pat worked for Americold Logistics, formerly Terminal Ice & Cold Storage, for 32 years, retiring in 2004 as operations manager. She enjoys sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, gardening, tole painting, Bunco and crafts.
Both are members of St. Francis Catholic Church. They enjoy time with family and friends and attending their grandchildren’s sporting events.
They have a daughter, Susie Golden of Walla Walla; two sons, Tony Lucarelli of Portland and Michael Lucarelli of Sammamish, Wash.; five granddaughters and three grandsons.
