PENDLETON — Heather McFadden scored a game-high 20 points here Tuesday night, but none of her Walla Walla University teammates contributed more than four points as Blue Mountain Community College routed the Wolves 77-36 in a women’s college basketball game.

McFadden had a solid game, sinking 6-of-15 shots from the floor, including her only 3-point shot, and 7-of-14 free throws before fouling out in the second half.

But it wasn’t nearly enough to overcome BBCC’s balanced offense.

Natalie Hansen led the way for the home team with 16 points, and she was one of five Timberwolves to score in double figures. Ginna Lorusso, Sandra Martin and Alisha Crane chipped in with 11 points each, and Jenny Beamer rounded out the double-figure attack with 10 points.

Blue Mountain led by eight points, 32-24, at the intermission. But the Timberwolves outscored the Wolves 45-12 after the break to pull away to the lopsided victory.

The loss dropped Walla Walla’s season record to 3-8. The Wolves return to action Monday when they host Eastern Oregon University at 7 p.m.
