ASOTIN — Walla Walla Valley Academy fell behind 25-16 at halftime on the way to a 48-30 girls Southeast B crossover basketball loss to Asotin here Wednesday night.
The loss gives the Knights a 1-4 record.
Victoria Buell led the Knights with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Shelby Barnes led the Panthers with 14 points.
When Jessica Hutton suffered a season-ending broken wrist in the third quarter, and teammate Kelsie Schafer drew her fifth foul, the Knights finished the game with just seven players.
"We responded pretty well, but we continue to struggle with our scoring problems," WWVA coach Monty Buell said. "It was partly because of their defense and partly because we missed too many open shots when we had them."
WWVA returns to action at Tri-Cities Prep with a 6 p.m. game on Monday.
